Lumen
Most skin scanners guess, then sell. This one measures four optical properties of your skin in CIE L*a*b* colour space, reports how precise each reading is, and never sends an image anywhere.
Your picture never reaches this line. There is no server to receive it, no database to store it, and no copy left behind β not on your device, not anywhere else.
A cosmetic and wellness tool, not a medical test. It does not diagnose conditions and does not screen for skin cancer.

What the camera can't see
A camera measures the surface of your skin β its colour, redness, shine and texture. It cannot measure hydration inside the skin, or how your skin reacts to a product. Six questions cover that half.

Technical readout
Every Β± is a 95% confidence interval (1.96 Γ standard error) computed from the spread between accepted frames. It describes the precision of this instrument on this session β not biological variation in your skin.
These are cosmetic measurements, not a medical assessment. Lumen is a
general wellness tool. The numbers above describe how your skin reflected light during one
session β they are not clinical findings, they do not indicate any disease, and none of them
should be read as a diagnosis. Lumen is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any
condition, and it is no substitute for examination by a doctor.
It does not examine moles and does not screen for skin
cancer. See a dermatologist promptly about any mole or lesion changing in
asymmetry, border, colour,
diameter, or that is evolving β and about any rash, pain,
or sore that does not heal. Persistent redness, burning or flaking can have medical causes
such as rosacea, eczema or seborrhoeic dermatitis, which this tool cannot distinguish from
ordinary variation.
No login, no account, no upload. Every frame is captured and analysed
inside your own browser, on your own phone, laptop or tablet. No image, video or
measurement leaves that device, because the page contains no code capable of sending one β
there is no server, no database, no account, no tracking and no analytics. Your last score
is kept in this browser's local storage so the tool can show change over time; "Erase stored
history" removes it. The face-detection model and the page fonts are downloaded from public
content networks (jsDelivr and Google Fonts) when the page first loads; those requests
carry your IP address, as any web request does, but no image and no measurement.
